Inward Bound are delighted to be providing mindfulness and wellbeing sessions to parents and carers from The Beverley School in Middlesbrough.
It was lovely to meet parents, carers and staff in person at our Covid safe sessions in school, where we shared self care tips, learned breathing exercises and indulged in some relaxation.
We refused to let lockdown stop our weekly meet up and simply moved online to continue with our Wednesday Wellbeing group, even welcoming more members. I look forward to hosting the group each week and was pleased to receive this wonderful feedback.
“I contacted Inward Bound to set up a wellness session for parents and carers.  Marie and Jan are so friendly and professional and were able to meet our needs with no trouble at all. Jan began delivering our sessions on site. The feedback from parents has been incredible, they absolutely love the sessions and have commented on being able to sleep better at night and feel so much more relaxed since joining the sessions. “I started attending Feel Good Friday classes and done some of the workshops, these helped me loads, I went from being on the highest level of anti depressants, to not being on any, in just a few months of attending, I cannot praise Marie enough for the help and the work that she does, hopefully (without any doubt) Inward Bound will help more people.

Before I started Feel Good Fridays my mental health was very poor i was suffering from severe depression and anxiety Attacks. However thinks to Marie and her sessions was able to manage my condition and go from employment support allowance onto job-seekers allowance. Jamie S. - Middlesbrough

​Since starting The Me Program & also doing other courses with Inward Bound my life has changed big style. I have made some pretty big changes & overcome some big hurdles in these last few months.
I found that just taking that small amount of time throughout the day for just me has help me cope with issues & illness.

This course has not only helped me, it’s helped my whole family. Changes I have made and things you have taught me has helped us talk as a family. Time love and encouragement have been words that have stuck with me throughout this course and using them daily sees changes in life for the better.
My biggest change that I needed to work through was how I could help my son. I now know I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself to try and follow in my mam and grandma footsteps, as they are so special, and I felt I needed to live up to that.
What this has taught me is to relax and to know I am surrounded with love, friend and family and that’s all I need.
Taking Me time and putting my energy first is valuable to my whole family life. You are inspirational and I really appreciate how you have helped me and my son see the bigger picture and hope from this I can teach him to make some right decisions. Thank you so much.-  Lyndsey. Grangetown. 

Since being introduced to inward Bound I have taken part in multiple course, workshops, classes and events, which I have benefited from physically and mentally. I have grown so much as a person and gained a better understanding of myself and I can't thank the team enough for their support, guidance and all the hard work they put into the organisation. Since finding inward bound I soon realised that I had no quality time for me. I knew I had to make changes in my life. Marie Cunningham was absolutely fantastic in showing us ways of doing this. Meditation is a way that I can relax and take time for myself, I still meditate regularly, and I find that I feel better after. The course is quite deep, and it makes you question everything about yourself. We learnt about our body and how it all works which I found absolutely fascinating, also about how foods affect us. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and it helped me reaffirm that I had been loved throughout my childhood by my family. It also helped me realise that it’s ok to say no to people and not to feel bad about it. A totally wonderful experience – Olwyn P. – Eston

Hi I have been attending workshops, events and days out with this group and can't praise the support and help I have had. Its made a big difference to my life. I have some physical and emotional health problems and was very down and withdrawn when I first found this group. To be honest I was turning into a recluse really the more I didn't go out the less I felt like it and also suffered from depression as wasn't seeing many people etc. 
Now as I have been given advice on how to cope on my bad days etc and encouraged to join classes and activities feel do much better. Thank you for your help. 😊 X Jan. Middlesbrough

Hi, Just a little note to say a Huge Thank You for your fabulous course i attended in May to July, from arriving to the course and not knowing where i was in life i was lost with having no time, no direction and low esteem to now being focused and assertive and driven, This course has made a huge difference not only to me but to my family and friends as well, without your group support class and guidance i don't know where in life i would have ended, i still use techniques (Making time for Relaxing, also Meditating) , I think these course's you have set up and worked so hard on are a true reflection of how much you are really willing and wanting to help others, just this weekend i have recommended a lady to your course and should be in touch with you. Thank you again for everything,
